Homemade Carpet Cleaner
One way to save money on your carpet is to make your own carpet cleaning solutions. I have collected information for three formulas to help care for your carpet. One formula is a homemade carpet spot cleaner and stain remover. Another formula is for used for shampooing your carpet. And a third formula for cleaning your carpet naturally.
Formula 1. Homemade Carpet Spot Cleaner and Stain Remover: This formula can easily be made. It removes small stains and spots on your carpet. You only need three ingredients to make this simple formula: Vinegar, baking soda and water. First mix the baking soda and vinegar. Then dilute the mixed baking soda and vinegar solution with water. Your homemade carpet spot cleaner solution is now ready. Use this formula by brushing it over the spot with a tooth brush or a small brush of your choice. The baking soda reacts to cleaning up stains while the vinegar dissolves stains.
Formula 2. Homemade Carpet Shampoo: No bleach should be used for any of the ingredients for making this formula. You will need: 1/2 cup liquid cleaner, 1 cup ammonia, 1/2 cup Downey, and 1 gallon of water. Mix all of the ingredients together. Formula 2 is now ready. Brush this solution over any stains and spots on your carpet. Wipe it off with a dry, clean cloth. Let it set overnight and then vacuum over any residue.
Formula 3. Carpet Cleaner Solution Thats All Natural: This is another carpet cleaning formula that is very simple to make. The ingredients that you will need are: Dried bay leaves, baking powder, potpourri, and corn flour. Mix 3.5 oz. corn flour with 1/2 lb. baking powder in a container. Take the dried bay leaves, crumble them, and then add them to the mixture. You are now ready to add a handful of the final ingredient, which is the potpourri. The potpourri will really give the carpet cleaning formula a nice fresh smell. Make sure the container is thoroughly covered and then shake the ingredients mixture well. Your all natural carpet spot cleaner is now ready. Put some of the formula on spots and let stand overnight. Vacuum the area of the carpet that you used the formula on until all residue is gone.
